The top Eastern European nuclear scientists and aerospace engineers from Ukraine are no longer working for Moscow but working for London and Washington. The Soviet-led Ukrainian engineering projects like Antonov transport plane or Soviet Aircraft Carrier has been discontinued. Is the Soviet Union secret Endgame is to move majority of Russian abroad to Western Europe and Central Asia and then use all of their nukes on North America?

The Development of Missile Defense System

The natural outcome of the fact that multiple parties possessing lethal ballistic missiles is that some parties will start to develop shields and evading mechanisms to stay alive in a ballistic missile shoot out. The US with the technical edges in precision missile guidance and precision radar technology started the Star War program under the Regan administration in the 1980s. The Star War program is the American attempt at intercepting an enemy Ballistic missile with their own ballistic missile.

While a Ballistic Missile can travel very fast up to 12000 kilometers an hour, its trajectory follows the laws of physics and its path is highly predictable. With large numbers of missile launch satellite detectors orbiting the earth, the North America Aerospace Air Defense (NORAD) could detect the launch location within the first few minutes of a missile launch anywhere on earth.

If the satellites missed the Missile launch, the Long Range Early Warning Radar in Alaska, California, Boston and United Kingdom can detect the approximate location of the incoming ICBM with the UHF radar and then relay the location to a nearby orbiting satellite for precision tracking of the ICBM hot exhaust.

The satellites will then send the ICBM location to the nearest high precision ground fire control radars or an AEGIS radar system on destroyers in South Korea, Okinawa, Guam or Hawaii.

These high precision X-Band radars and the Airforce supercomputers in California will then start to track and calculate the expected trajectory of the incoming ICBM. A launch command will be sent from the Supercomputer with human approval and an ICBM interceptor will be launched and collide with the ICBM warhead.

As long as the ICBM could be intercepted before it reaches the 5 KM altitude in its terminal phase then the Nuclear Warhead will not detonate and 300 kilograms of nuclear material will just scatter in the atmosphere.

The most battle hardened, highest probability of success Missile Defense System in the world is the IRON DOME of Israel. While Israel IRON DOME was not designed to intercept Nuclear ICBM but short-range missiles from their neighboring countries, it uses the same principle of early detection, precision tracking of a missile flying on a conventional ballistic trajectory. The Israel’s Missile Defense System achieved a 90% success rate and intercepted more than 3000 rockets shooting at Israelian’s cities.

Russia also developed and deployed their Missile Defense System around Moscow. The Moscow Missile Defense System includes 360 degree Long Range Early Warning Radar and a battery of Nuclear ICBM interceptors.

Both Israel and Russia Missile Defense System uses the same fragmentation interceptor system with Israel using conventional cluster detonators and Russia using Nuclear detonators. While the American Missile Defense System has many more satellites and precision tracking radars, its interceptor missiles using direct body contact not fragmentation and were not battle tested in real war or achieved high success rate in war games yet.

The American Missile Defense System like American Military Bases are forward deployed and could be used to intercept a small number of ICBMs used in accidental launches, preemptive surprise attacks or nuclear launches from small nuclear states like North Korea. America will then choose to retaliate using conventional or nuclear methods.

All Russia Missile Defense Systems are stationed only around Moscow so if an ICBM would be flying toward Moscow, their likely response would be to launch both Nuclear Interceptors and Nuclear ICBM at their adversary. Both Russian and American Missile Defense System at their current performance and testing will probably be able to intercept up to 10 ICBM successfully but if more than 10 ICBM would be launched at American and Russian cities, their Missile Defense System will probably be overwhelmed.

Besides Russia and the United States, no other nuclear nations possess the ability to detect, track and intercept an Inter Continental Ballistic Missile. While China, India and Pakistan have many ICBMs, they would not be able to intercept incoming ICBM and will be very likely to take high casualties before they can retaliate.

The Nuclear Winter Theory said thats if there are enough nuclear explosion happening around the globes at the same time, the earth atmosphere will become filled with dusts and smoke. The dusts and smokes will not settle down but circulate in the atmosphere and blocking out the sun for years. Without sunlights, the earth climate will become like North Pole.

Earth temperature will quickly decline, the oppsite of all current Global Warming problem. With a North pole lile climate around globe, majority animals and plants living outside of the Artics will die. Most of human population in major cities and outside of the Artics will then likely to die because of hunger and supzero tempeture.

Only polar bears, penguins and the Ekimos will likely to survive the Nuclear Winter. Our civilizations will likely be set back 1000 years of progress. All of our technological development will be lost and the Eskimos will have to start up fresh and rebuild our civilization.

However, the blocking out the sun theory of American scientists is more of a propaganda to threaten the Japanese economy and population and their sun-like flag than a well grounded scientific theory. In order to recreate the Dinosour extinction event, we will need to produce the explosive power of 72 trillion TON of TNT or 205 million Minute III ICBM. That is hundred thound times larger than the entire nuclear stockpile of human kinds.

The Cold War and the constant nuclear threats altered the genetic makeup of US major cities. Even if a city was flatten by a nuclear weapon, it could be clean up, rebuilt and resettled within 5-10 years basing on the severity of the nuclear contamination. Hiroshima was rebuilt and resettled within the first 5 year and modern day Hiroshimo is within the top 100 largest cities in the world.
